EDRS's commitment to education and affordable services offers a lending library at the EDRS office at 320
Western Ave. Petaluma, CA. The brain child of Joan Thompson, Eating Disorders Outreach Coordinator, the
lending library offers books donated by their authors as well as community activists, for recovery from eating
disorders. Joan makes sure that every book in our lending library has been reviewed to offer solid information
prior to being selected for our library. The EDRS office is open Monday - Friday 9 am to 6 pm. You are welcome
to come in and check out a book for a month by simply writing your first name and phone number, and title of
book on our sign out log.

Casa Serena Eating Disorders Program
In a safe and supportive environment we offer an evening program for women 18 years of age and older, providing 8 issue specific groups weekly from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday addressing various aspects of recovery including: Classes and groups in: Body Image, Life Planning, Interpersonal Group Process using DBT/CBT techniques, Expressive arts, Nutrition and Yoga.
The Association of Professionals Treating Eating Disorders (APTED) APTED is an affiliation of a broad range of professionals involved in treating people with eating disorders in the San Francisco Bay Area: including private practitioners-psychologists, licensed counselors MFT's, social workers, physicians, psychiatrists, and nutritionists.

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Eating Disorders Program Lucile Packard Children's Hospital is the only hospital in Northern California that specializes in medically stabilizing patients who are no longer safe to receive treatment in an out patient setting.

Anorexia Nervosa and Related Eating Disorders (ANRED) ANRED is a nonprofit organization run by health care professionals dedicated to education about ED and recovery. Updated monthly, its site offers information about ED, including statistics and definitions for ED in difference age groups and in both sexes.
Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) The Academy for Eating Disorders is an international trans-disciplinary professional organization that promotes excellence in research, treatment and prevention of eating disorders. The AED provides education, training and a forum for collaboration and professional dialogue.
National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) NEDA describes itself as the largest non-profit organization in the United States working to eliminate ED. Its website provides information and links about treatment referrals and support groups, research grants, and educational materials, as well as volunteering, interning, and advocacy opportunities.
National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) - Eating Disorders: Facts about Eating Disorders and the Search for Solutions This detailed offering describes symptoms, causes, and treatments, with information on getting help and coping with Eating Disorders.
Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy & Action This cooperative of professional and advocacy-based organization is committed to federal advocacy for people with ED, their families, and professionals working with them. The website promotes membership in the Family & Friends Action Counsel, an ED awareness advocacy and lobbying group.
Something Fishy: Website on Eating Disorders This support site includes a chat room and listing of online support groups. It also features a monthly schedule of chat events, an interactive bulletin board, and a treatment finder that can be browsed by state and country.

Overeaters Anonymous Based on the 12 step recovery program, Overeaters Anonymous provides services and support groups for individuals with eating disorders and includes a schedule of local meetings and a newsletter.
